Draft for legal review. This page describes how we actually handle information today, but a lawyer hasn't reviewed it yet. If anything here matters to a decision you're making, write to chinookintelligence@gmail.com and we'll answer directly.

Agreeing to these terms

This website is operated by CHINOOK (“CHINOOK”, “we”, “us”). By using it, you agree to these terms. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you agree on its behalf. If you don't agree, please don't use the website.

What the website is, and isn't

The website describes CHINOOK and how it is designed to work. It is for general information. In particular:

  • Every figure, reading, finding and test result shown on the website, including the interactive demonstrations, comes from a simulated site. None of it is data from a real facility or a customer.
  • Descriptions of features reflect the product as designed and built at the time of writing. Features change, and some are available only at certain stages or under certain agreements.
  • Nothing on the website is engineering, safety or legal advice, a warranty about how the platform will perform at your site, or an offer to supply. A supply is only made under a signed agreement.

Using the website

You may browse the website, share links to it and use it to learn about or contact CHINOOK. You must not:

  • break or try to break the law, or anyone's rights, through the website;
  • probe, scan or test the website's security, except as allowed by our vulnerability disclosure policy;
  • interfere with the website or overload it, including through automated sign-ups;
  • submit false information, or someone else's details without their permission;
  • copy the website's content at scale, or use it to train machine learning models, without our written permission;
  • present yourself as CHINOOK, or suggest that we endorse you when we don't.

Intellectual property

The website, including its text, illustrations, code and design, and the CHINOOK name and logo, belong to us or our licensors. You may quote short extracts with attribution. Any other use needs our written permission.

Names of third-party products and organisations on the website belong to their owners. We use them only to describe interface compatibility. Their use doesn't mean those owners endorse or partner with us.

What you send us

You're responsible for the information you submit through the website, and you confirm you have the right to share it. We handle personal information as described in our privacy policy.

If you send ideas or suggestions about CHINOOK, we may use them without owing you anything. Please don't send us anything confidential through the website or by email unless we have agreed in writing to treat it as confidential.

No warranty

We work to keep the website accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for any particular purpose, or that its information is complete or current.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the website or reliance on its content. Our total liability to you in connection with the website is limited to one hundred US dollars (USD 100) or its equivalent.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and suspension

We may change the website or these terms at any time. The version on this page, with its date, is the one that applies. We may suspend or withdraw the website, or any part of it, without notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes about them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings there.
